OnGreen Presents “Building Sustainable Cities Through Green Innovation”
You guys remember OnGreen.com? The company fostering the “world’s largest cleantech marketplace,” who hooked us up with some invaluable information at our Social Media Week panel?
Look familiar?
Well they’re at it again! In partnership with CleanTech Los Angeles, USC’s Energy Institute, the USC Stevens Institute for Innovation, and the Metropolitan Water District, OnGreen will be hosting an invitation-only green technology showcase on November 16, 2010 at USC: Building Sustainable Cities Through Green Innovation. Swanky!
Though invitations to the event aren’t yet available, OnGreen is seeking submissions from promising green and cleantech start-ups in and around the greater Los Angeles area. What for, you ask? Why to demonstrate your technology at the event! We’re expecting 150-200 attendees from the business and investor community, academia, government and the media. Wowza!

Drilling down a little further, OnGreen is specifically looking for technologies with applications for housing. Examples include:
– Energy Efficiency
– Water Purification
– Air Purification
– Construction & Building Materials
– Food technologies
– Renewable Energy
To submit your company, there is a easy 3-step submission process. Best of all? All three steps are completely free:
1. Register for an account on OnGreen. Takes 2 minutes.
2. Create an overview of your technology and business plan at OnGreen’s Green Exchange. Takes 30 minutes.
3. Email the URL of your OnGreen overview to usc@ongreen.com. Takes 10 seconds.
Thats a total of 32 minutes and 10 seconds for you to get the chance for major exposure and networking in the Los Angeles cleantech community. A small price to pay!

To be eligible for the event, the aforementioned registration process must be completed and submitted by October 29, 2010. Participants will be announced during the first week of November, and they’ll be chosen based on:
- Proximity to Los Angeles (or interest in locating there)
- Fit with housing/community theme of event
- Quality and comprehensiveness of company overview
- Views and reviews of company overview on OnGreen.com
