Welcome to the CleanTech LA Blog!

July 8, 2010

Welcome to the CleanTech Los Angeles (please, call us CleanTech LA) blog! For those of you who have been tracking our website, following us on Twitter, becoming a fan of us on Facebook, and viewing us on YouTube, welcome to our newest social media outlet!

For those who are meeting us for the first time, allow a brief introduction: CleanTech LA is a unique collaboration between government, academia, and business groups dedicated to making Los Angeles a global capital of clean technology.  We pursue this lofty goal through researching cutting edge clean technologies, advocating for progressive policy, and marketing Los Angeles’ strengths as a cleantech cluster.

Since our inception, we’ve sponsored an Urban Land Institute Technical Advisory Panel on LA’s CleanTech Corridor; set up a pavilion at Anaheim’s TechConnect World Conference; launched the CleanTech LA Investor Series; announced electric car company BYD will be locating in LA, and secured $60M in federal funds to demonstrate smart grid technology in Los Angeles (to name a few).

Check back here to learn about the work we’re doing and to share your thoughts.  You can subscribe to our blog by entering your e-mail in the box at the lower right corner. We’ll be engaging guest bloggers like university researchers, government officials, entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders to tell the unfolding story of CleanTech LA, and we’re glad to have you along for the ride.
